Worse is, I only have 3/4 torque. That’s less than one! Abysmal.

I would win in a race. However, I’m limited on the download by my Wifi router being on the other end of the house. Otherwise would be more horsepower than my Miata.

Not bad at all

Glad to see my tuition dollars going towards something worthwhile.

Oof, yeah that’s average slow day for me, I max out at about 13 down and 2 up.

Holy fuck.
No, really, HOLY FUCK! That’s hypercar territory.

Uhhhhh wow. Mind blown. I actually can’t eventually imagine having speeds capable of downloading a high definition movie in under ten seconds.

Yeah man. I could bootleg the entire internet!

My provider spontaneously upgraded my building from ~80 to ~400 today. Happy times!

My sister in law was told by Verizon the 0.75 down she is getting is the best they can do in her neighborhood. It’s in the middle of a fairly populous area, Williamsport PA.

pretty ballpark for tertiary education though.
for context, I’m in education and my work has 10x that bandwidth. but we have 27000 users from 52 sites hitting that link..

Maybe so, but from the outside looking in, it’s massively plaid.

That was just my connection on an Ethernet cable maxing out at one gigabit, lord knows how much faster it really is.
There’s a massive clamp on the Wi-Fi speeds and the college only permits like a maximum of 20 mbps over Wi-Fi.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Quezon City:
My usual speed:

Before and after fiber was installed. It’s still not massively fast, but it’s finally useable

Oh look, you have the same power as a Toyota 86.

The story here:
I had heard Comcast was increasing bandwidth, and it seems to be true. Looks like only on the download side though, that upload is pathetic.

exactly, I’d expect any college over a certain size to be on 10Gbps at a minimum. But you never open that up to the users.
20mbps seems pretty low for WiFi, is it an open network? cause that would make sense to prevent trespassers treating it as their personal internet.

There’s two Wi-Fi networks, one for employees and students and one for guests, but it’s all the same.
